2026 ESY Deaf/Hard-Of-Hearing Teacher SECONDARY

Location: Wakefield HS

July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026

Professional Days and Orientation: July 1, 2

Qualifications

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Special Education certification. Knowledgeable in Sign Language. Knowledgeable in Assistive Technology for Students with Hearing Impairments (i.e., FM Systems).

Experience

Teaching students. Teaching deaf and hard of hearing students.

Responsibilities: Include:

Work with hearing impaired students. Work effectively as a team member with colleagues. Be flexible, dependable, and highly organized. Excellent interpersonal skills.
