  • AM to 5:00 PM $25-$30 per hour OASIS Ascent = Observation, Assessment, Stabilization, and Intensive Support. _______________________________________________________________ Located in Provo, Utah, OASIS Ascent is a short-term, acute residential treatment program dedicated to helping teenagers and their families navigate mental health crises with safety, dignity, and specialized care. Through a secure, highly structured environment and comprehensive clinical assessments, we uncover underlying challenges and build individualized roadmaps for long-term healing and success. Education is a vital component of stabilization. We are seeking a Special Education Teacher who thrives in a multidisciplinary, therapeutic setting. In this role, you will use your specialized credentials to provide adaptive, trauma-responsive academic support, helping vulnerable students rebuild their confidence, resilience, and love for learning.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized academic instruction for students in grades 7–12, ensuring continuity of progress in all core subjects. Implement Direct Instruction methods to assist in student learning and growth. Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, progress, and accountability. Manage and deliver curriculum using digital platforms such as Edgenuity and Canvas Collaborate with clinical and residential teams to integrate academics with treatment goals. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress Maintain classroom structure, positivity, and consistency within a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

Current or eligible Utah 7–12 teaching certification; Special Education (SPED) certification. Previous classroom teaching experience strongly preferred. Skilled in applying evidence-based teaching methods, including Direct Instruction. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a collaborative clinical team. A genuine passion for supporting students who learn differently or thrive outside traditional settings.
