Job description

  • JOB SUMMARY As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will safely lead members and participants through fun and engaging gymnastics classes. You will provide instruction in gymnastics practices while developing participant’s confidence, skills and abilities.
  • Evening classes are offered between 3:45 PM - 7:30 PM during the week. During the school year, there are also Saturday morning classes are offered between 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

  • Build collaborative relationships with participants and parents to retain class numbers.
  • Instruct participants on proper form and encourage growth in the sport.
  • Record participant progress on skills and report this to the supervisor.
  • Complete class recommendation forms with feedback for parents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain safety of both participants and equipment at all times.
  • Find substitute instructors as needed and provide a prepared lesson plan for them.
  • Take attendance on a daily basis.
  • Act according to facility protocol to ensure safety of all staff and children which includes:
  • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with staff and children.
  • Attend required abuse risk management training.
  • Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
  • Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of gymnastics terms and skills and the ability to break skills down to a teachable level.
