Job description
- The Spiritual Formation Interns assist the Office of Spiritual Formation staff in their formation work on campus.
- SFIs are expected to bring their gifts, personalities, passions, and love for God to their position in order to substantially contribute to the spiritual formation of their peers, to their own professional and spiritual development, and to the long-term goals of the OSF.
- SFIs are emboldened to take initiative as leaders under the mentorship and guidance of the OSF staff.
- SFIs will share responsibility for coordinating and executing OSF programming with supervisor and co-interns and based on personality and gifts, supplemental responsibilities and goals.
- There are NO major or experience requirements.
- Must be a current Lipscomb University student.
- This position may be federal work study eligible.
Additional Comments
Must be able to commit an average of 8 hours per week.
Must have a desire to grow spiritually and to participate in the spiritual formation of others.
Typical
Duties: and Responsibilities:
Upon hire, interns will be assigned to a primary responsibility lane; possibilities include a.) Breakouts, b.) corporate worship experiences, c.) community engagement and/or special events
Initiate and help execute spiritual formation programming, including ongoing events and special projects.
Attend weekly meetings with the supervisor and co-interns.
Meet one-on-one with the supervisor once every two weeks.
Attend OSF bi-weekly staff meetings.
Attend an intern retreat with OSF staff at the beginning of the year/semester.
Welcome students at the Gathering each week and other OSF events as they arise.
Maintain desk hours on a regularly scheduled basis
