Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Training and Experience

Two years’ experience in social or recreational programs preferred.

3. Job Knowledge

Understanding of the principles of group interaction and motivation techniques. General knowledge of basic office procedures.

Description

The Site Coordinator for the Senior Life Program works under the direct supervision of the Senior Center Site Director and the general direction of the Department/Program Directors.

1. Develops and implement the various daily activities for the Programs that follow the state mandates for Senior activities.

2. Daily preparation and training of physical fitness, socialization, interpersonal/social skills, daily living skills and leisure time.

3. Assists with coordinating and implementing fund raisers.

4. Maintains appropriate records, prepares reports as assigned.

5. Records daily progress on individual objectives. Maintains the monthly progress notes and yearly evaluations on individual progress, goals and future outlines of goals and objectives.

6. Keeps participants informed of educational opportunities/support groups.

7. Acts as an advocate for active Seniors.

8. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.

Physical Effort

Has ability to lift 40 lbs. and has the mobility needed to engage the program participants.

30 am - 4:00pm 8 hrs with a 30 minute lunch break
