After School Program Teacher (Part Time) Beginning August 17, 2026

Position description

Kingsley Montessori School is seeking enthusiastic and experienced educators to support our P3 – Grade 6 classrooms, and teach after school programs. This role is available in both our Early Childhood (P3-K) and Elementary (GR 1-6) classrooms. As an After School Program Teacher, the individual will share responsibility for the After School Program student experience and develop strong partnerships with colleagues and parents. We seek reflective, intentional educators who are looking to contribute to a progressive, integrated curriculum informed by Montessori pedagogy and principles, and helping to maintain a safe and enriching learning environment for their students.

Responsibilities

include: Planning age-appropriate curriculum and activities Maintaining classroom spaces Implementing strict safety protocols Collaboration with teachers to ensure continuity between classrooms and After School Program Assisting with the development of after school, vacation, and summer programs curriculum Supporting school classrooms and operations before after school hours Administrative duties when necessary.

This is a part-time position, with attendance at staff meetings and occasional night / weekend events outside of regular hours.

Regular Hours

  • Monday -
  • Friday, 2:00 - 6:00 PM, or as agreed upon with the Director of Auxiliary Programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Candidates who are close to completing their bachelor’s degree will be considered. Prior experience working with children and/or in education, preferably with multi-age learning environments Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development Ability to work collaboratively in a cooperative, collaborative school community Commitment to meeting the needs of each child Successful candidates will be empathetic, flexible,collaborative, and love working with students and have a passion for working with students Familiarity with and/or an interest in learning more about Montessori pedagogy [American Montessori Society (AMS) / Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teaching credentials are a plus but are not required]
