At The Red Barn, our flex staff are essential to maintaining consistency, safety, and quality across our schools. This role is best suited for individuals who are dependable, adaptable, and confident working in a variety of classroom settings.

Position Overview

This is a part-time, as-needed role supporting multiple classrooms and age groups. Schedules may vary based on staffing needs, call-outs, and planned coverage.

You will be expected to step into different environments and operate with professionalism and confidence from the start.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain active supervision and ratio compliance at all times Step into classrooms and quickly follow established routines and expectations Support a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children Communicate effectively with teachers and leadership Manage transitions, behaviors, and unexpected situations calmly Represent the standards and culture of the school consistently What We Expect

Reliability and follow-through—if you accept a shift, we expect you to show up Professional behavior and communication in all classrooms Ability to adapt quickly without needing constant direction Positive, respectful interactions with children, families, and staff A team-first mindset This Role Is NOT a Fit If:

Qualifications
