Job description

Overview

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a nonprofit founded in 1943, has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds each year.

We are currently seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) Clinician to join our school-based mental health satellite clinic team in Yonkers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing vital mental health services directly within a school setting.

The salary range is $60,000-$75,000, and the position is 12 months per year.

Responsibilities

  • As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing direct clinical services to children and families within the school environment in various therapeutic modalities, including individual, group, family, and crisis intervention, as well as coordinated individualized behavioral plans developed with school staff.
  • Maintaining accurate case records, completing insurance forms, and handling required statistical and administrative data, including monthly reports and surveys.
  • Building and nurturing collaborative relationships with families, school staff, and other community and county service providers.
  • Operate as a member of a multidisciplinary team and consultant to school staff
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications

  • An MSW or MHC and eligible for NYS licensure.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective and collaborative partnerships with school and community partners.
  • Computer literacy.
