- Oklahoma City, OK 73114The Assistant Teacher provides essential classroom support to the lead teacher, ensuring a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for students with disabilities. This role involves assisting with instruction, student supervision, and individualized support to promote academic and developmental growth.

- Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities. Provide individualized assistance to students based on their learning needs. Assist students with mobility, self-care, and daily routines. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere. Supervise students during transitions, mealtimes, and recess. Maintain classroom organization, ensuring materials and equipment are accessible. Reinforce positive behavior and provide guidance based on school policies. Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents as necessary. Prepare and set up learning materials for classroom instruction.
- Qualifications
- Education: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
Experience
