  • SUMMARY: Looking for fun & energetic summer camp counselors! 7-hour daily shift - Monday to FridayMust be at least 17 years old. Junior/Senior Counselor Positions available.

  • FUNCTIONS: Maintains a culture of safety. Supports assigned activities which may include sports, games, crafts, clean-up, fire drills and other procedures required. Administer EMERGENCY First Aid and/or CPR to any injured person as needed. Maintain records and forms required by the Senior Youth Services Director. Supervise and discipline children based on written policies. Counselors consult with the Camp Leadership on any questions of policy or procedure, disciplinary action, or safety. Ensure that areas, equipment, and facilities used by the students are maintained in a clean, serviceable, safe, and orderly manner. Share skills and talents for the improvement of the program. Prepare and distribute snacks. Additional tasks as assigned.

  • QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: CPR/First aid certification (preferred). Understanding of and enthusiasm for the mission of the YMCA. 1-year experience working with children in a learning or camp environment (preferred). Ability to effectively relate to diverse groups of people from all socio-economic backgrounds and communities.
