School for Business Description School for Business is one of the three schools at MCNY overseeing the (MTH 124 SKI Introductory Math) (Pathway to Careers) course section(s). The selected adjunct professor will be serving under the School for Business in collaboration with other collegewide internal stakeholders. Key
Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction - This is a part-time position for an Adjunct Professor at MCNY, based in the New York City Metropolitan area for on-campus, in-person teaching primarily on daytime on Thursdays. School for Business will notify in advance if the day and time for teaching changes in a semester. The Adjunct Professor will be responsible for teaching MTH 124 SKI Introductory Math undergraduate (Pathway to Careers) course section(s). Course Management - The Adjunct Professor will also be responsible, under the guidance and supervision of School for Business, for updating syllabus, updating the LMS (Moodle course shell) course contents and updating course materials preferably with Open Education Resources (OER). Student Support - Allocate regular office hours on zoom and or in person and provide academic support to ensure student success. Engagement - Foster active learning in a face-to-face setting. Administration - Timely student feedback, grading assignments, tests, discussion forums, timely submitting final grades and attendance records, and participate in School for Business assessment activities including CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement). Required Qualifications Education: Master's degree in mathematics, or closely related field; however, candidates with doctoral degree and required experience in similar fields of expertise will be preferred.
Experience
Previous college-level teaching, experience of providing lessons and grading on IXL online platform, advising experience required; experience working with diverse student populations and pathway to career program is preferred.
