- This role involves working closely with employees and HR to ensure effective administration of benefits, resolving issues, and providing support for benefits-related inquiries.
- The Benefits Partner will also assist in the development and communication of benefits programs and initiatives.
- SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY: N/A NATURE AND SCOPE: The Benefits Partner will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Benefits Administration: Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Employee Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions and issues.
- Provide guidance on benefits options and help resolve enrollment or claims issues.
Communication
- Assist in the creation and distribution of benefits-related communications, including updates, newsletters, and policy changes.
- Vendor
- Management: Support the management of benefits vendors, including coordination of services and monitoring performance.
Compliance
Ensure benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Reporting
Generate and analyze benefits reports to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Training
- Educate employees on benefits programs and changes through workshops, presentations, and written materials.
- CORE
- COMPETENCIES: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with HRIS or benefits administration systems is a plus.
- Preferred
- Skills: Certification in Employee Benefits (CEBS, SHRM-CP, or similar) is an advantage. Experience in a higher education or nonprofit environment is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
