Job description

Circle Academy is a therapeutic day school that prepares and empowers students with emotional and behavioral challenges for successful experiences in school and in life. The school is seeking a Para-Educator Case Manager to assist in providing a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment for our K – 12 students. We are hiring for our Rossville, IL location.

Position Overview

The Para-Ed Case Manager is a link between CIRCLE, the home school, the family, the courts, and other community agencies/programs. By building relationships with all stakeholders, students have the greatest opportunity to succeed. This position requires extensive documentation, organization and planning skills. This role also requires someone who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality; and prioritize multiple responsibilities while working cooperatively with other members of the treatment team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (required)
  • Certification: ISBE Type 39 Substitute Teacher license (required)
  • Experience: At least two years of experience working with students or youth with emotional and behavioral challenges preferred.
