  • Range: $12.00 - $18.00 HourlyGeneral Vision To provide safe, Christ-centered childcare during church programming, helping families fully engage in the life and discipleship of Veritas Church. Essential Job Functions Create a welcoming, secure, and nurturing environment for children while parents participate in ministry activities. Supervise children during adult ministry events, classes, and other church programs. Engage children through age-appropriate play, stories, and activities that reflect biblical truth and kindness. Ensure the safety and well-being of every child in your care Maintain appropriate check-in and check-out procedures, following all Veritas Church safety and security guidelines. Communicate clearly and kindly with parents, guardians, and ministry leaders. Help maintain a clean and orderly environment before and after programming. Report any incidents, injuries, or concerns to your supervisor immediately.. Work cooperatively with other childcare team members and volunteers. Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children (paid or volunteer) preferred. Ability to remain calm, patient, and joyful in a fast-paced or unpredictable environment. Dependable and punctual, with strong teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to follow all Veritas safety, health, and child protection policies. Ability to stand, sit, lift up to 25 lbs, and actively engage with children during play. Must successfully complete background check and child safety training prior to employment.
