Position summary
Responsible for providing primary health care to center patients within the structure of the family practice model; in addition, serves on committees, discharges administrative responsibilities, attends departmental meetings; participates in night and weekend on-call coverage rotation. Will assume teaching responsibilities as assigned; assures professional supervision of Nurse Practitioners, Midwives or Physician Assistant provider personnel, including professional interaction with provider support personnel.
Education and experience
Graduation from an accredited medical school. Must have Board Certification. Current New York State license is required. Must also have current BLS and infection control certifications. Must have a current DEA Registration.
Physical requirements
Ambulatory – 95% Sedentary- 5% Subject to stress and Fatigue.
Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination when working with patients and equipment. Subject to repeated bending, squatting and stooping. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
