Job description
Essential duties and responsibilites
- 1. Operates according to Texas Department of Family Protective Services Licensing Standards. 2. Functions with Agency’s policies and procedures. 3. Manages youth using program behavior management system. 4. Achieves positive outcomes for youth. 5. Manages risk behavior using Handle with care model. 6. On call as assigned by the shift coverage on call calendar. 7. Maintain daily logs, including behavior management point book. 8. Attend all mandatory staff meetings and trainings. 9. Maintaining professionalism around residents, case workers, and other staff members. 10. Provide transport as directed by supervisor. 11. Maintain cleanliness of the shelter.

- DUTIES:
- Clock in.
- Verbal “Pass On” to next shift.
- Attend your assigned area per the schedule.
- Assess resident needs. (Bath, Diaper change, etc.)
- Assess shelter needs. (Cleanliness, laundry, breakfast,lunch, and dinner, etc.)
- All shelter documentation is completed before you leave.
- Verbal “Pass On” to next shift.

- JOB: 90% supervising residents including shift paperwork/documentation 10% staff meetings/trainings
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimal education requirements of High School Diploma/G.E.D., and be at least 21 years old. Must speak, read, and write English. Some knowledge of Spanish would be helpful. Knowledge, skills, and abilities in guidance training, social services work in order to assist youth ages birth through seventeen. Be able to work independently or as a cooperative team member in efforts to meet organizational goals and objectives. Show empathy and patience. This is not a babysitting job, this job will require compassion, and working on your feet throughout shift.
