Essential Functions Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, and papers Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, handouts, and project instructions align with the given standards grade level Use myLiberty LMS and aspects of Google Classroom and Google Drive platforms daily Prepare and deliver preparations on course topics Maintain student attendance, grades, and other required records Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction Maintain Rubicon Atlas specific to course content Compile, administer, and grade examinations Maintain contact with students and parents with regular communication Maintain expertise in subject matter through professional development Implement current teaching styles Collaborate with colleagues in grades just above and below to maintain vertical alignment Apply Biblical principles in course content Always promote and nurture a Christ-centered culture within the classroom and school-wide Attend department, grade level, and faculty meetings Use information from various sources to make instructional decisions Be available for weekly scheduled tutoring times Communicate with students and parents as outlined in the Faculty Handbook Support extra-curricular activities in the subject taught Fulfill campus responsibilities as assigned. Examples, but not limited to, are testing center duty, lunchroom duty, detention duty, etc. Adhere to the Student Protection Policy (SPP) procedures and trainings. Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the school. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or post graduate work in subject matter preferred, or 15 hours college credit in subject area State teacher certification Excellent verbal and written communication Leadership and facilitative skills Serve as a Christian role model Physical Requirements and Work Environment Works in an environment with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time Regularly use close and distance vision May stand for extended periods of time Works primarily in a traditional climate-controlled office environment Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) Ability to instruct and model desirable skills and attitude Ability to remain productive and maintain control under stress Ability to maintain a clear focus on a positive student experience Full-time, ten-month employee Qualifications
