Job Summary
Matthew's Ministry is Resurrection's awareness, outreach, and support ministry for individuals with special needs and their families. As a member of our team, staff provide direct support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities during weekday or weekend programming. This is a part-time position.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred (whether formally or in a volunteer capacity).
- Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities or education in a related field (e.g., special education, behavior analysis, OT, PT, SPL, nursing) is helpful but not required.
- Ability to physically engage and interact with children, youth, and adults with special needs. May include kneeling, lifting, sitting on the floor, standing for an extended period, walking across location buildings, and other related tasks.
- Ability to assist a participant in the restroom by changing diapers/pull-ups and if necessary performing lifts for transport.
