  • Our Health Director is responsible for the campers inside the JCC, while our two EMTs travel with our campers when they leave the building.
  • The Day Camp EMT will walk to a local park or playground with campers each morning and remain outside with the campers to ensure their safety and attend to any medical issue or injury that arises.

Responsibilities

Maintain constant awareness of the children in your care and any environmental hazards Provide immediate medical care and first aid in the event of injury or illness, following established emergency protocols Carry and stock medical supplies Monitor campers for signs of fatigue, dehydration or destress and take proactive measures to prevent health issues Communicate clearly with camp staff regarding camper medical issues or allergies Enforce camp safety rules and behavioral expectations to promote a secure and organized group environment Report any incidents to camp leadership staff in a timely and efficient manner Maintain a calm and positive atmosphere for campers Supervise and safely escort campers to and from the park and playground with other camp staff Please note that this job description is not intended to cover or list in full the activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Qualifications
