Job purpose/Description

This one-day position supports middle school students attending a healthcare-focused Scrubs Camp at the College of St. Scholastica. The Student Assistant will supervise a small group of participants, ensuring they stay engaged, follow the schedule, and interact respectfully with healthcare professionals. This role helps create a positive and organized learning environment for students exploring healthcare careers.

  • Supervise a small group of middle school students throughout the event
  • Ensure students follow the daily schedule and arrive on time to activities
  • Promote respectful behavior and positive engagement with peers and presenters
  • Escort students between sessions and activities on campus
  • Assist with student check-in prior to the start of camp
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to event coordinators promptly
  • Provide general support to staff and healthcare presenters as needed
  • Required qualifications
  • Must be a current or incoming CSS student
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work responsibly with middle school-aged students
  • Dependable and able to follow directions in a structured environment
