Job purpose/Description
This one-day position supports middle school students attending a healthcare-focused Scrubs Camp at the College of St. Scholastica. The Student Assistant will supervise a small group of participants, ensuring they stay engaged, follow the schedule, and interact respectfully with healthcare professionals. This role helps create a positive and organized learning environment for students exploring healthcare careers.
- Job duties
- Supervise a small group of middle school students throughout the event
- Ensure students follow the daily schedule and arrive on time to activities
- Promote respectful behavior and positive engagement with peers and presenters
- Escort students between sessions and activities on campus
- Assist with student check-in prior to the start of camp
- Communicate any concerns or issues to event coordinators promptly
- Provide general support to staff and healthcare presenters as needed
- Required qualifications
- Must be a current or incoming CSS student
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work responsibly with middle school-aged students
- Dependable and able to follow directions in a structured environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Nursing student or student pursuing a healthcare-related field
- Experience working with youth
- Interest in healthcare
