Duties & Responsibilities

Commitment to adhering to all rules and regulations of East Texas A&M University, Conference, and the NCAA. Data Entry, Filing and Statistical Analysis Responsible for equipment inventory and requisition Coordinates housing needs of intercessions and pre-game meals with campus cafeteria Assists visiting teams with practice times and other necessary arrangements Assist with travel administration and scheduling Assist with camp organization and clinic administration Assist with recruiting organization and activities. Responsible for recruiting and public relations with high school and junior college transfer athletes upon taking and passing the NCAA Recruiting Test. Assist with player development, training, study table, etc. Assists with student-athlete admission/retention concerns Participate in practice and training sessions with potential for scrimmaging Video editing of practices, games and organizing work Assists with organization of conditioning programs in conjunction with Director of Strength and Conditioning Assists with opponent scouting and preparation Participate in University and public speaking appearances and gatherings Assists with all athletic events as determined by Athletic Administration and (SPORT) Head Coach Always represent the University positively when interacting with the community, alumni, high school and club coaches, media and general public Organization, participation and supervision of team activities Coordinates defensive game plans and calls defensive plays. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Knowledge of football terminology and skill level. Ability to accumulate, organize, decipher and interpret recruiting notes. Strong professional and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Good verbal and written communication skills and excellent typing ability. Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team. Licensing/Professional Certifications: Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally move approximately 50 pounds. Other Requirements: None PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree or in pursuit of Master’s Degree.
