- Category: EducationHorizons Program - Student Aide Summer 2026 The Horizons Program at University School of Nashville seeks part-time Student Aides for its summer program.
- Normal working hours for this full-time seasonal position are 7:15 am-3:15 pm, Monday through Friday, June 1 - July 2, 2026. Student Aides must be able to report to work each day on time and attend all required meetings and orientations. Preference will be given to current University School of Nashville high school students and graduates. This is a paid position at $16 per hour. Under the supervision of the Horizons Program Director and the Lead Teacher, the Student Aide will provide support to children with mathematics, reading and writing on an individual, class, and small group basis. The Student Aide will help teachers prepare for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment; help supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch and recess, and during morning/afternoon hook-up and on field trips; reinforce program and class rules to help teach students proper behavior; join students in the pool and assist swim instructor. The Student Aide will serve as a positive role model for students, motivating and encouraging students at all times. The Student Aide will be a member of a team committed to transforming the lives of children caught in the achievement gap, giving them the tools to become successful and confident college-bound students.
