Job description

Serving with Compassion, Creativity, and Consistency. $17-18 an hour Part time Monday and Wednesday 2:30-6pm, Friday 2:30-8:00pm

Position Summary

BOOST is a fun, high‑energy recreational and academic, social program at the Southern Tier Community Center (STCC). The program gives youth access to the gymnasium, fitness equipment, college visits, community resources, and a variety of engaging activities. We're looking for employees who enjoy working with youth, bring patience and enthusiasm, and are committed to helping kids grow both in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing programs for youth ages 13-21. Responsible for following all New York State safety guidelines, has a broad knowledge of racial/social justice, and be proficient in educational, recreational, and life skill activities. Work collaboratively with STCC / CHWC staff and community partners to carry out the program goals and objectives Assist supervising and ensuring the safety of youth enrolled in the program. Conflict Management. Active engagement in all activities and programs. Maintain knowledge of current best practices in Positive Youth Development

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma / GED required Associate's Degree in human services, psychology or related field preferred Experience: 2 years of experience working with youth preferred ​Experience in event programming and coordination preferred ​Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
