Job description
Description The Kids Care Team Members provide safe, nurturing, and engaging care for children from infants through elementary age during church services and ministry programs. This on-call position supports both weekday and Sunday gatherings, helping children feel known and loved while giving parents peace of mind. Team members create welcoming environments, lead age-appropriate activities, follow safety protocols, and model Christlike care in every interaction.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience caring for infants through elementary-aged children Familiarity with early childhood development and age-appropriate care Experience in a church, childcare, or group learning environment preferred Experience supporting children with varied needs is a plus
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age Ability to lift and carry children, kneel, sit on the floor, and remain physically active during shifts Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Ability to follow allergy, safety, and cleanliness protocols with consistency Strong interpersonal and communication skills Team-oriented, flexible, and responsive to last-minute changes High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Cherry Hills Community Church Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); able to utilize standard tools for documentation, communication, and task coordination. Demonstrate proficiency with common office technologies, including email, printers/copiers, shared drives, and organizational software platforms; able to troubleshoot basic issues and learn new tools quickly. Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressure. Availability to work Sundays, weekdays, evenings, and holidays as needed Must pass a CHCC background check.
