Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes in a didactic setting in person at the Modesto Campus
- Collaborate with didactic and clinical faculty for program development
- Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator with program organization and implementation of standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in medical education and ensure continuous medical education requirements at the facility are met
Requirements
- Must meet BVNPT requirements for faculty candidates, including holding a Bachelor's degree for LVN and RN
- Instructor must be currently attending or have completed a teaching course offered by an approved school
- Meet one of the following qualification pathways: (A) Registered Nurse:
- Hold a current active California Registered Nurse license
- Have a baccalaureate degree from an approved school, or a valid teaching credential, or minimum one year full-time teaching experience in a state-approved nursing or psychiatric technician school within last 5 years, or meet California community college or state university teaching requirements
- Have at least two years nursing experience (registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse) within the last five years (B) Licensed Vocational Nurse:
- Hold a current active California Vocational Nurse license
- Have a baccalaureate degree from an approved school, or a valid teaching credential, or minimum one year full-time teaching experience in a state-approved nursing or psychiatric technician school within last 5 years, or meet California community college or state university teaching requirements
