Job description
- The Librarian is responsible for all phases of the library operations including the administration, implementation, and assessment of the Keiser library system.
- The Librarian administers programs of library services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
- Librarians are responsible for acquiring, organizing, managing, distributing, and providing training on the use of informational resources and services.
- Librarians ensure that the library provides all of the necessary resources and services to meet the educational program requirements for the educational programs offered by the university.
- Tasks may include selecting, cataloguing, classifying, circulating, and maintaining library materials; and furnishing reference, bibliographical, and readers' advisory services.
- May perform in-depth, strategic research, and synthesize, analyze, edit, and filter information.
- May set up or work with databases and information systems to catalogue and access information.
- The Librarian must have the following: Master's Degree in Library/Media Services Must be from an American Library Association Accredited University Minimum of 3-4+ years' experience
