Job Description

Summary: This 10 hour per week part-time position that supports the Skills Institutes in the School of International Service. These weekend courses are aimed at providing graduate students in international affairs with in-demand skills. Faculty Support The incumbent supports Skills Institute faculty during, and prior to, instruction of the course. 2.) Student Support The incumbent supports students in Skills Institutes by trouble-shooting technological issues and other access challenges. 3.) Program Assessment Complementing the AU-wide SETs, the incumbent surveys students and analyzes the data that these surveys produce. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-Time. 10 hours per week.

Salary Range

$18.40 - $19.50 per hour. Required Education and Experience: Previous experience in working with events, professional communications, and/or research and evaluation. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in international affairs or education. Experience working in higher education. Demonstrated interest in experiential education. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: This position requires regular weekend (Saturday and Sunday) work. Other Details This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
