Job description

Central Florida Therapy, a leading pediatric therapy clinic in Sanford, FL, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team in our new location. In this role, you will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing high-quality therapy services to children with communication disorders. We offer a collaborative, supportive environment where your work directly impacts children and families in meaningful ways.

Responsibilities

Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by a supervising SLP Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions under the direction of a licensed SLP Assist with data collection, documentation, and tracking client progress Prepare therapy materials and maintain a positive, engaging treatment environment Collaborate with supervising SLPs and the multidisciplinary team to support treatment goals Communicate effectively with families regarding session activities and home practice, as directed by the supervising SLP Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic, state, and payer requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field Active Florida SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain) Completion of required clinical fieldwork hours Experience working with pediatric populations preferred (clinical or internship experience considered) Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed SLP Reliable, professional, and child-centered in approach Consent to Level II AHCA background screening (https://info.flclearninghouse.com)
