Building Blocks Learning Center is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Summer Camp Counselor to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in elementary education or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience working with children. This role requires a positive attitude, group management skills, and the ability to engage and inspire a group of 15-20 campers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a group of 15-20 campers, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational camp experience. Plan, organize, and implement daily activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity. Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment, encouraging teamwork and respect among campers. Maintain constant supervision of campers during all activities, both indoors and outdoors. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff, providing updates on camper progress and any incidents. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in elementary education or a related field. Minimum of two years of experience working with children in a professional setting. Strong leadership and group management skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to stand and be physically active throughout the day. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements

Must pass a background check and provide references. Must be available to work the full duration of the summer camp program.
