Description PRN Youth Mentor Reports to

  • Campus
  • Supervisor
  • Time
  • Commitment: 16-24 hours per week
  • Pay: Starting $17.00+ an hour, based on training, education, and experience

THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME PRN with multiple varying shifts per week, primarily including swing shifts (3:00pm-11:00pm)

  • We are looking for highly qualified/experienced individuals who can assist adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral regulation, trauma, and attachment-related issues.
  • As a youth mentor, your job will be to hold strong boundaries while developing relationships of influence.
  • These relationships will help you inspire, teach, and supervise the adolescent males attending the Geneva Program.
  • A peaceful, calm demeanor, despite potentially tumultuous circumstances, is needed.
  • You will help adolescents and their families address challenges and learn skills that will change their lives.
  • Duties include: Primarily responsible for the safety and supervision of students Assists with resolution of conflict between students Carries out milieu-based interventions from the student plan Transportation of students Communication and charting observations and interactions to the clinical chart First aid response Utilizing consultant pattern and relationship continuum Assists with medication administration Ability to maintain healthy boundaries with our students.

Ideal for former athletes, coaches, military personnel, or those comfortable with confrontation and de-escalation Requires strong presence, emotional control, and ability to influence behavior in real time Exceptional relationship skills Timely, dependable, reliable A tolerant, supportive view of the LGBTQI+ community. Must have the ability to hold appropriate boundaries with staff and students. Must have the ability to receive and carry out instruction. Experience working with youth or young adults in the behavioral health field (required) Experience as a Mentor/Resident Advisor (required) Experience in a residential treatment center (preferred)
