Job description
- Classroom Aide – Anacortes Family Center Preschool $19.45 – $20.63 per hour DOE/DOQ (+$1.00/hour location differential) 20–25 hours per week | Monday–Friday Preschoolers ask big questions, tell wild stories, and turn everyday moments into adventures.
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County is hiring a Classroom Aide to support our Preschool Program at the Anacortes Family Center.
- You'll work alongside Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and the Club Director to create a welcoming environment where children feel encouraged to learn, play, and grow.
- This is an active, hands-on role full of creativity and curiosity.
- One moment you may be helping with an art project, the next you're guiding circle time, helping classmates problem-solve, or celebrating a child writing their name for the first time.
- You'll support classroom routines, early learning activities, and social-emotional development while helping preschoolers build confidence.
- We're looking for someone who is patient, positive, and comfortable in a busy classroom environment.
- The right candidate enjoys interacting with young children and understands that preschool learning often happens through play, exploration, and connection.
- This position is part of a licensed program and requires meeting Washington DCYF standards, including background clearance and health requirements.
- Required training, such as CPR/First Aid and STARS, is supported if needed.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You'll be actively engaged throughout the day, including bending, sitting on the floor, moving throughout the classroom, and assisting children as needed.
