Job description

  • Part-Time (20 hours) $45.67-$52.88/hr.

  • You will join a high-impact multidisciplinary team dedicated to closing the opportunity gap for students in grades 5–12.

Secondary student IEPs typically require fewer direct weekly therapy minutes, allowing you more time for high-quality, focused intervention and meaningful case management. You will have the flexibility to design and control your own weekly schedule—building your testing, evaluation, and therapy blocks seamlessly around our middle and high school bell schedules. We offer a highly competitive hourly rate depending on experience, along with a supportive environment that honors your expertise.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will own the speech and language services for our diverse middle and high school student body, serving as a lead clinician, advocate, and case manager.
  • Diagnostic
  • Excellence: Conducting comprehensive evaluations (CELF-5, CASL-2) to determine SLI eligibility, with a specialized focus on distinguishing disability from cultural/linguistic differences in our English Learner (EL) populations.
  • Secondary-Level
  • Therapy: Designing interventions that help adolescents navigate complex peer dynamics, "hidden" social rules, and the linguistic demands of a college-prep curriculum.
  • Functional
  • Advocacy: Evaluating and implementing AAC devices to ensure every student—regardless of verbal ability—has a functional voice on campus.
  • Future-Ready
  • Planning: Directly contributing to Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) for students 15+, aligning communication goals with their dreams for college or the workforce.
  • Consultative
  • Impact: Partnering with teachers on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to make every classroom more accessible. What we’re looking for... Master’s Degree.
