- Louis.Job Summary The Middle School Social Studies Teacher is responsible for providing a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters academic excellence, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of history, geography, civics, and culture.
- As a member of the Catholic school community, the teacher supports the mission of the school by integrating Catholic values and teachings into the educational experience and serving as a positive Christian role model for students.Job Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in middle school social studies courses, including history, geography, civics, economics, and related disciplines.
- Develop engaging lessons that promote inquiry, critical thinking, research, discussion, and analysis of historical and current events.
- Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and social justice principles into classroom instruction when appropriate.
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and faith-filled classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate records of student achievement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Utilize technology and instructional resources effectively to enhance student learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and school activities.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the school's academic and spiritual mission.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-sponsored events.
- Supervise students during assigned duties and activities.
- Uphold school policies and procedures and model professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field required.
- Valid state teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
- Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support and uphold the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Strong knowledge of social studies curriculum and instructional best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
