Job description

We are seeking caring, reliable individuals to help provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for young children in a church nursery setting. Nursery caregivers support families by caring for infants and toddlers during Sunday morning services. Shifts take place on Sundays between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, typically lasting 2–3 hours. Caregivers may serve at churches located in the Mound, Wayzata, and Orono areas.

Responsibilities

Supervise and care for infants and young children in the church nursery Engage children through age-appropriate play, reading, and activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursery environment Comfort children as needed and communicate respectfully with parents/guardians Follow nursery safety procedures and check-in/check-out protocols Work collaboratively with other nursery staff or volunteers

Qualifications

Experience caring for infants or young children preferred (babysitting, childcare, teaching, etc.) Warm, patient, and attentive demeanor Reliable and punctual for scheduled Sunday shifts Ability to interact positively with children and families

Position Details
