Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a dedicated seasonal Lifeguard to supervise our Colonial School-Age Summer Camp located at the Colonial Elementary School.
About the Position
Supervise and ensure the safety of all children during scheduled swim sessions Enforce water safety rules and emergency procedures at all times. Deliver basic water safety instruction and support children of varying swim abilities. Conduct daily checks of pool equipment and maintain cleanliness of the aquatic area. Respond quickly and effectively to any aquatic emergencies.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred. Lifeguard Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross) is required. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date). Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies. Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.
