Behavioral Technician (BT) – Job Posting Full-Time | ASD Waiver Services | In-Home & Community-Based We are seeking a reliable and motivated Behavioral Technician (BT) to serve as a Life Skills Coach (LSC)/Community Mentor and Job Coach for individuals receiving Connecticut ASD Waiver services. This is a full-time, direct-support role providing in-home and community-based services to multiple clients. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values consistency and structure, and understands the importance of following individualized plans and professional boundaries. What You'll Do Provide direct in-home and community-based supports aligned with each individual's Individualized Service Plan (ISP) Support daily living skills, routines, communication, self-advocacy, and community integration Implement existing behavior support strategies as written, without modification Work with multiple clients throughout the week to ensure consistent service delivery Complete, clear, timely documentation in accordance with ASD Waiver and agency requirements Communicate observations and updates to the Program Manager professionally and promptly Communicate observations and updates to the clinician (BCBA) professionally and promptly Maintain respectful, professional relationships with individuals, families, and team members Follow all agency policies related to safety, confidentiality, and service delivery What This Role Is Not This is not a clinical position This role does not include creating or modifying behavior support plans This position does not supervise other staff
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities preferred Ability to work independently while following written plans and supervision Strong reliability, organization, and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Schedule & Work Expectations Work hours vary based on client needs and operational demands and may include irregular, extended, or non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is full-time and scheduled across multiple clients rather than assigned to a single individual.
