Position Description: Town School for Boys seeks a full-time Physical Education teacher to join our Physical Education department, beginning in August 2026. This faculty member will be responsible for providing physical education instruction for four grades within Lower School (Grades K-4), assisting with outdoor studies classes once per week, and helping cover occasional Upper School physical education classes. Town School’s physical education program encourages students to experience the benefits and enjoyment of physical activity and to discover the value of personal wellness as part of daily living. An outcome of the program should be that students begin to make responsible and thoughtful decisions relative to their personal health habits and practices in high school, college, and throughout their lives. We also teach the rules and fundamentals of many sports throughout the school year, with students eventually playing these games in a controlled setting where teamwork and sportsmanship are emphasized. More specific information about PE is available on the curriculum section of our website. We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of our qualifications.
