Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining and environment that supports and encourages the growth and development of children; Ensure the care, safety, and well-being of children in the group; Provide a program inclusive to all children and families regardless of lifestyle and belief system; Participate in staff meetings, and on-going trainings; Complete all required certifications; and All other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications K1-8 teaching experience and knowledge of Massachusetts frameworks is required; Willingness to learn about children’s growth and development; Enthusiasm for project-based learning; creativity in planning; Willingness to accept feedback and to modify his/her project to ensure high-quality programming that meets DESE guideline; A strong understanding of children’s developmental and academic needs; Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues; Ability to motivate and engage students in learning; Ability to build strong relationships in learning; Ability to build strong relationships with students and families; Completed CORI, SORI and fingerprint scan in accordance with regulations set forth by the Department of Early Education and Care; Evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment; Evidence of immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella; and Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification.
