The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic part-time Floating Teachers to support our Early Learning Center in Cape Ann. As a Floating Teacher, you will assist classroom teachers and center leadership in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are flexible, and thrive in a collaborative team setting. What You'll Do Classroom Support Assist teachers and center leadership with daily classroom activities and routines Support the implementation of curriculum and age-appropriate learning experiences Help foster children's social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive development Provide positive guidance and encouragement to children throughout the day Safety & Classroom Environment Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment Monitor classrooms, playgrounds, and learning spaces to ensure children's health and safety Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor Assist with classroom organization, cleanup, and preparation of learning materials Family Communication & Professionalism Support positive interactions with parents and guardians Communicate relevant information through appropriate supervisory channels Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and program operations Model the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility Record Keeping Assist with attendance tracking, meal counts, behavior logs, injury reports, and other required documentation What We're Looking For Experience working with children is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and staff Dependable, flexible, and committed to creating a positive experience for children Passion for youth development and early childhood education Why Work at the Y?
