Full-Time Clinical Faculty (MSN Required) Hondros College of Nursing Independence, OH

Hondros College of Nursing is looking for a dynamic MSN prepared Nurse for a full-time clinical faculty role at our Independence Campus!

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in the lab and/or clinical setting
  • Promote a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively to assure full implementation of the clinical component of the curriculum
  • Participate as members of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees
  • Plan the student clinical experience
  • Orient students to the clinical site as well as to policies and procedures
  • Supervise the student clinical experience in accordance with OAC 4723-5-20
  • Evaluate each student’s achievement and progress and provide valuable feedback

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • At least three years full-time in the practice of nursing as a Registered Nurse or part-time equivalent
  • Active RN licensure in the State of OH that has never been encumbered
  • Current American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

General Credentialing Requirements

  • Applicants selected and receiving an offer of employment will be required to complete key credentialing requirements for clinical placements prior to being cleared for start. Full detailed information is provided at time of offer. A summary of requirements includes:
  • Providing copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned
  • Providing a copy of current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card
  • Completion of a physical form (from within the last 12 months)
  • Immunization documentation for:
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR
  • TDAP/Tetanus
  • TB (2 step)
  • Varicella
  • FLU (October 1 – April 1 hires)
