Summer Camp Counselor - Abbott Park

The counselor will work under director guidance to provide a safe and nurturing environment, encouraging children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Key duties include developing, coordinating, and scheduling program offerings, determining and arranging field trips, and ensuring constant safety and supervision of children.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged and must pass required state and company background checks. Preferred qualifications include one year of professional teaching experience in child care settings and a degree or cda in early education, along with demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.
