Authorship
Who writes the content on this site.
Content is written and reviewed by educators, school administrators, and K-12 career specialists with direct experience in school district hiring, teaching credentialing, and education workforce trends. Authors draw on firsthand experience in classrooms and district HR contexts, not just secondary sources.
Articles are attributed to the k12.careers editorial team rather than individual bylines to reflect the collaborative review process. Factual claims — salary figures, licensing requirements, geographic hiring data — are verified against primary sources before publication and flagged for update review as source data is refreshed.
We do not publish sponsored content, paid advertorials, or editorial articles written to promote a specific employer or service. If a post references a tool or service, it is because it is relevant to the topic — not because of a commercial relationship. k12.careers does not accept payment for editorial coverage.

Job listings
How listings are sourced and verified.
Sourcing
Listings are aggregated from official district and public employer hiring pages. We do not publish paid listings that bypass source verification. A listing must originate from a verifiable employer hiring page or official posting portal to appear on this site.
Deduplication and quality
Listings are deduplicated, job titles are normalized, and data freshness is monitored. Roles flagged as out-of-scope, duplicated, or expired are removed. Feeds refresh daily.
Scope
We prioritize roles in K-12 and flag postings that appear out of scope. Listings for unrelated industries or roles that do not match the site's focus are excluded.
Disclosure
k12.careers is a discovery platform. Hiring decisions, compensation details, and final requirements are set and owned by each employer. Always verify compensation, credentials, and deadlines on the official employer website before applying.
Updates and corrections
How we handle errors and keep content current.
Update policy
Editorial articles are reviewed on a rolling basis. When source data changes — new BLS wage releases, regulatory updates, or changes to state licensing requirements — we update the relevant articles and revise the publication date. We do not leave materially inaccurate salary ranges or regulatory information uncorrected once a discrepancy is identified.
Corrections
If you identify a factual error in an article — an incorrect salary figure, an outdated licensing requirement, or a mischaracterized regulation — email us at hello@k12.careers with a reference to the source you believe contradicts the claim. We investigate corrections promptly and update articles when the correction is substantiated.
Listing corrections
If a job listing is inaccurate, no longer active, or misattributed to the wrong employer, report it to the same address. We investigate and remove or correct listings that cannot be verified against the source.
Independence
What we do and don't accept.
k12.careers's editorial content is independent of its commercial relationships. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, do not publish sponsored articles that appear as editorial content, and do not allow employers or services to influence the factual claims in our articles. Employers listed on the site have not paid for favorable editorial treatment.
All application links point to the employer's own hiring page. k12.careers does not earn a fee per application or per hire. We surface listings because they are relevant to K-12 job seekers, not because of a financial arrangement with the employer.
If you have questions about any aspect of how this content is produced or how listings are sourced, contact us at hello@k12.careers.
