Water Safety Instructor - Recreation

The water safety instructor provides swimming instruction to all levels, including non-Swimmers, according to starfish aquatics guidelines under the supervision of the aquatics coordinator. Essential duties include enforcing pool regulations, advising the public on rules, following lesson plans, overseeing the pool area for safety, and completing required records and reports.

Minimum requirements include a swim instructor certification from a nationally recognized agency and obtaining darkness to light training within three months of employment. Swimming and aquatic background with 3+ years of experience is preferred, alongside the ability to administer first aid and cpr.
