- Category: TrainingPosition Summary The Adult Education Coordinator creates, schedules, facilitates, and continuously improves training for GSEM volunteers and staff on a wide variety of topics on behalf of multiple departments. The position administers the online learning management system, manages volunteer Council trainers, and serves as GSEM administrator for third-party training partners. The role works to ensure that volunteers receive the training and support they need to give girls the best Girl Scout experience possible. At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, most of our roles work in a hybrid capacity (in office, remote, and/or in the field). Details will be provided during the interview process. Essential Job Duties Create, facilitate, and continuously improve online, virtual, and in-person courses for volunteers and staff. Work with stakeholders to determine priorities and deadlines for course creation. Administer the web-based learning management system and serve as the primary gsLearn Champion for the Council. Track course completion and certification, sending reminders and ensuring records are accurate. Develop course materials, volunteer policy/procedure documents, and the twice-yearly course catalog. Teach courses as required. Provide assistance to volunteers and promote training opportunities by a variety of methods, including phone calls, emails, and publications. Support committee work. Ensure overall compliance with any applicable internal policies, guidelines and funding source regulations. Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. QualificationsQualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. Some curriculum development and/or instructional design experience is highly preferred. Red Cross Instructor certification or the ability to obtain such within 6 months of employment. USA Archery Instruction Trainer Certification Valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Articulate Storyline or other e-learning authoring software strongly preferred or willingness to learn. Ability to work well in a team setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other general office equipment. Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to speak and present confidently and credibly in public. Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, and to represent the organization in a professional manner. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. Ability to work some nights and weekends.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time operating a computer, including navigating websites, software platforms, spreadsheets and both electronic and paper documents. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier, and computer printer. Occasionally positions self to maintain files in file cabinets. May need to move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds across office for various needs. Is required to drive/ operate an automobile. The ability to observe details at close range and at a distance. Work Environment Frequently works in an indoor professional with moderate noise levels. Occasionally required to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dirt, and dust.
