The esol teacher provides instruction to students, enabling them to learn and demonstrate mastery of the georgia performance standards. They create a classroom environment that promotes active learning and collaborate effectively with partner teachers in the dual immersion model.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university and a valid georgia teaching certification in the applicable content field. Additionally, they must have passed the actfl oral proficiency interview and written proficiency test at advanced level proficiency in a target language other than english.
