Site Director / Lead Learning Coach KaiPod Learning — Orlando, FL 2026–2027 School Year | Full-Time | In-Person 📍 Locations: Pinar Elementary & Westpointe Elementary (Orange County Public Schools) About the Opportunity KaiPod Learning is launching innovative microschools within Orange County Public Schools, bringing personalized, student-centered learning into a public school setting. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role in a new model of education, combining small-group learning, academic coaching, and real-world skill development in a highly relational environment.

Position Summary

The Site Director leads a small learning pod of 10–12 students, alongside a Learning Coach. This team is responsible for the overall success of the site, including: Student academic progress Learning environment and culture Family communication Daily operations and logistics Students follow their own online or homeschool curriculum. Your role is to coach, guide, and support their success while building a structured, engaging in-person experience. Key Responsibilities Academic Coaching & Student Support Monitor student progress and academic goals Use data (MAP, Lexia, Zearn, etc.) to guide support Provide regular 1:1 check-ins and goal-setting Plan and facilitate one daily enrichment block (60 minutes) Learning Environment & Culture Build a safe, inclusive, and engaging space Support collaboration, independence, and life skills Family Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for families Share weekly updates and monthly plans Address questions and concerns proactively Site Operations Manage scheduling, materials, and budget Maintain safety procedures and compliance Ensure smooth day-to-day operations Team Leadership Work cooperatively and synergistically with your site partner Collaborate with KaiPod staff across all pod sites as well as the larger central team What Makes This Role Unique Small group setting (10–12 students) Focus on coaching vs. direct instruction Autonomy to design enrichment, projects, and experiences Blend of teaching, leadership, and operations Located within public schools, expanding access to innovative learning

Qualifications

Required: Active Florida teaching certificate Bachelor’s degree Minimum 6 years of teaching experience Background supporting neurodiverse learners Strong organizational and communication skills Comfort with education technology and online platforms Preferred: Experience with personalized learning or small-group instruction Experience in administrative or site leadership roles
