Position Summary
Montessori Haven is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Montessori Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in the toddler and/or primary classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and is either Montessori-experience or eager to learn the Montessori approach.
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing the daily Montessori curriculum
- Maintain a calm, clean, and prepared classroom environment
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children in their social, emotional, and academic development
- Help with classroom set-up, organization, and cleaning
- Assist during lunch, snack, toileting, and transitions
- Communicate positively and professionally with parents and staff
- Attend staff meetings and training as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with young children (1–6 years old), preferably in a Montessori setting
- Passion for working with children and interest in Montessori education
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing disposition
- Ability to follow direction and take initiative
- Must pass background check and meet Texas childcare licensing requirements
