Position Summary

Montessori Haven is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Montessori Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in the toddler and/or primary classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and is either Montessori-experience or eager to learn the Montessori approach.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing the daily Montessori curriculum
  • Maintain a calm, clean, and prepared classroom environment
  • Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times
  • Support children in their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Help with classroom set-up, organization, and cleaning
  • Assist during lunch, snack, toileting, and transitions
  • Communicate positively and professionally with parents and staff
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with young children (1–6 years old), preferably in a Montessori setting
  • Passion for working with children and interest in Montessori education
  • Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing disposition
  • Ability to follow direction and take initiative
  • Must pass background check and meet Texas childcare licensing requirements
