Job Description

Provides an educational foundation that allows each student to reach his or her individual potential. English Language Development (ELD) programming in DCSD provides instruction in English using a collaborative structured immersion approach, including coteaching at the universal level, and providing targeted and intensive language support as necessary. Serves every assigned Multilingual Learner (ML) directly and consistently in collaboration with staff to serve the strengths and needs of every ML. Ideal candidate will have experience with screening and evaluating potential Multilingual Learners’ language to determine eligibility for ELD programming. Candidates with experience using a wide variety of collaborative, translingual, and asset-focused instructional linguistic strategies are preferred. ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: - Work is performed in a school or virtual setting. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. Salary Range

$56,366.00 USD - $119,121.00 USD Annual Position Salary Schedule Eligibility: Hard to Hire Licensed position salaries are set based on one of three salary schedules; General, Hard to Hire, and Specialist/Extremely Hard to Hire. DCSD will award up to 7 years of previous licensed teaching experience at the time of hire.
