Practicing debriefing, one of the key clinical skills necessary to thrive in this field. Processing and dispelling previously held assumptions and beliefs about people impacted by addiction. Balancing the format of a pre-planned topic with meeting the needs of the patients at that time, in that moment. In real-time, recognizing the differences between a psychoeducation lecture style and an interactive group therapy session.
