EMS Skills Instructor

The ems skills instructor supports the primary instructor by leading organized skills sessions to translate classroom knowledge into hands-On practice and mastery of clinical procedures for the emergency medical technician program. Responsibilities primarily involve team teaching skills exercises, supervising student safety, assisting with lab setup and management, and evaluating students using national registry skill sheets.

Candidates must possess two years of work experience at an equal or higher level than the instruction being administered, along with an ems certification or license valid for the state of texas at the corresponding level. Effective verbal and written communication, knowledge of current national curricula and registry requirements, and the physical ability to demonstrate emergency medicine skills are also essential.
